主講人簡(jiǎn)介：

Paul C. Cheshire教授，倫敦政治經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院經(jīng)濟(jì)地理學(xué)榮譽(yù)教授，英國(guó)皇家社會(huì)科學(xué)院院士。主要研究領(lǐng)域?yàn)闅W洲城市增長(zhǎng)、城市土地和房地產(chǎn)市場(chǎng)、土地利用規(guī)劃的經(jīng)濟(jì)效應(yīng)。出版著作12本，在Journal of Public Economics、Journal of Urban economics等期刊上發(fā)表論文150多篇。他曾擔(dān)任多個(gè)國(guó)際組織和政府的顧問(wèn)，包括世界銀行、聯(lián)合國(guó)、經(jīng)濟(jì)合作與發(fā)展組織、歐洲委員會(huì)、新西蘭政府等。獲得2004年英國(guó)皇家經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)會(huì)最佳論文獎(jiǎng)、2007年歐洲房地產(chǎn)學(xué)會(huì)最佳論文獎(jiǎng)以及2009年歐洲投資銀行-歐洲區(qū)域科學(xué)學(xué)會(huì)終身成就獎(jiǎng)等。于2017年因?qū)?jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)和住房事業(yè)的貢獻(xiàn)被授予大英帝國(guó)指揮官勛章。

Brief Introduction of Professor Paul C. Cheshire

Paul C. Cheshire is Professor Emeritus of Economic Geography at the London School of Economics and Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences. His research has focused on urban growth in Europe, urban land and housing markets and the economic effects of land use planning. He is the author/editor of 12 books and more than a 150 journal articles. He has acted as consultant to governments and international organisations: these include the World Bank, The UN, The OECD, The European Commission and the government of New Zealand as well as several UK government departments. He was an advisor to both Barker Reviews of planning and a Board member of the National Housing and Planning Advisory Unit. Most recently he was specialist advisor to the House of Lords Select Committee on the Built Environment for its enquiry into how to meet the demand for housing. He is an elected Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences and of the Weimer School of Advanced Studies in Real Estate and Land Economics. He won the Royal Economic Society’s Best Paper prize for 2004, the European Real Estate Society’s Best Paper Prize in 2007 and the EIB-ERSA Lifetime Achievement Prize in 2009. He was made a Commander of the British Empire (CBE) for services to economics and housing in 2017.
